A man charged with the murder of 38-year-old Wellington woman Sarwan Lata Singh made a brief appearance in the High Court at Wellington this morning.
The man was granted interim name suppression while he undergoes psychiatric evaluation and was remanded in custody until December 19.
Mrs Singh was found dead
in her home in suburban Woodridge on November 26.
Police said they were responding to a 111 call made from the property, which was filled with screaming, when the found Mrs Singh and another man on the property.
Her accused murderer is also facing a charge of breaching a protection order.
