Man charged with Dunedin murder

A 20-year-old man has been arrested with the murder of Dunedin woman Karin Ann Ross.

The Dunedin criminal investigation bureau tonight revealed that Ms Ross's killer is known to her.

Ms Ross, 51, was found dead in Strathallan Street on Wednesday, December 2.

Detective Inspector Darryl Sweeney acknowledged the dedication of officers who worked on the week-long investigation and also said information received from members of the public had also played a vital part.

The man will appear in the Dunedin District Court tomorrow.

A funeral for Ms Ross was held this afternoon.
