Man burns face in lawnmower accident on Waiheke Island

A man suffered burns to five per cent of his face after collapsing onto his lawnmower.

The man, aged in his 50s, suffered a medical event while mowing his lawns in Onetangi on Waiheke island.

The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew the man to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.
