Wanganui police are hunting a knife-wielding robber who held up a service station and stole tobacco and money. The robber entered the Gonville Service Station on the corner of Carlton Ave and Heads Rd about 11 pm on Thursday and threatened the sole attendant. He then left the service station, on foot, but was possibly picked up by a vehicle parked nearby, Sergeant Tim Walker said. The police are seeking a male Maori of solid build, about 1.7 m tall. He was wearing a hoodie and his face was covered.
