Kiwibank gears up for action with website launch

Kiwibank is gearing up for its launch next year with the launch of its website.

Chief executive Sam Knowles said today the website represented the first step towards an internet banking channel for the new bank, providing information and allowing potential customers to register their interest online.

"The full suite of secure internet banking functions will be added to the website when Kiwibank begins trading early next year.

"Once complete, the website will firmly establish Kiwibank as a modern, direct bank with an extensive and convenient retail network."

Kiwibank expects to be up and running in February.
