After yesterday's tiki waterbottle, here's Marcia Brady with a moko. The Tiki Show 2004, an exhibition at San Francisco's hip Shooting Gallery, features this fantastic creation called Marcia Tamahine by Isabel Samaras. Any New Zealander with a spare US$3000 ($4566) plus shipping can have it hanging on their
lounge wall in no time. See the full exhibition at The Shooting Gallery.

New to the real estate game and trying to make a buck, Guy Hollister of Harcourts sent out an email to Auckland's legal community. He got this reply from one heavy-handed barrister ... "You may think that wasting my time for three minutes is not a 'heinous crime'. I suspect you have sent your spam email to more than just myself, given that it was addressed 'Dear Sir/Madam'. I am not a 'Sir/Madam'. I also suspect that you have sent your email to a large number of my colleagues. There are over 1000 lawyers in Auckland. If each one of them has to read your spam and spend, say, three minutes dealing with it, then the combined lost productivity is 50 hours' work. The combined cost in lost earnings at, say, an average hourly rate of $300 is $15,000. I am sure you would feel the victim of a heinous crime if someone ripped you off over a $15,000 commission payment. That is what you are doing each time you send your spam emails. If you want some business it is better for you to earn it legally and ethically. Do not email me again. I will sue you and Harcourts if you send me another unsolicited email. You would be very mistaken to test me on that one."

Popbitch.com says Andy Serkis was spotted in a music store in London looking for monkey/ape sound effects to help him in his performance as King Kong. "Peter Jackson is doing the same type of thing as in Lord of the Rings, using Andy as the model for King Kong and adding computer-generated effects. We're told by someone who has seen the monkey's rubber face mask that Kong looks like a very angry monkey, but 'has funny little ears'."
