Road closures
The Onehunga onramp southbound to State Highway 20 will be closed from 9pm to 5am tomorrow for road surface repairs.
The Rimu Rd offramp southbound from State Highway 20 will be closed between 9pm and 5am tomorrow for resurfacing.
Detours will be signposted in both cases.

Heavens
above! Dr Robin Catchpole, senior astronomer at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, hosts a tour of the universe and the role of the Hubble space telescope in its unveiling in this year's Carter Memorial Lectures. These public events will be held in lecture theatre ELT. G.01 at Waikato University, Hillcrest Rd, Hamilton, at 7.30pm today, and in MLT2 lecture theatre, Maths and Physics building at the University of Auckland, at 8pm tomorrow. Collecting for Olympians
The New Zealand Special Olympics Foundation is calling for volunteers to help with its Auckland street appeal on June 14 and June 15. Volunteers will be asked to collect donations from the public to raise funds to send up to 50 Special Olympians to the world summer games in Dublin next year. If you can help, call (09) 363-6063.

Reporting the World is a selection of photographs covering key stories and events on display in exhibition halls one and two in the Auckland Museum until July 21. Admission is $10, $7.50 and $5. Speak up on boy racers
Here's a chance to have your say on boy racers. Parliament's law and order committee is calling for submissions on the Land Transport (Street and Illegal Drag Racing) Amendment Bill. The bill aims to combat the practice of performing wheel spins and other dangerous stunts on public roads. Copies of the bill are available from Bennetts Government Bookshops.
