A guitarist backing British entertainer Bryan Ferry collapsed on stage apparently after a heart attack at his Auckland concert last night.
Ferry, oblivious to the attack, kept singing until the song had finished.
Other band members saw the collapse but kept in time while five roadies took the guitarist off to the
side of the stage.
Fans saw the man, in his 50s, given CPR and taken away by ambulance staff. He was in a stable condition in Auckland City Hospital early today.
The band finished their set but Ferry did not comment to the audience on what had happened.
