Four burned while lighting fish smoker

Four people suffered burns after methylated spirits was used to light a fish smoker at a Mt Roskill house last night.

Two were admitted to Middlemore Hospital, one with serious burns, the other with moderate burns to the body.

Two children suffering from moderate burns were admitted to Starship children's hospital.
