Flying bottle injures woman

A woman is in hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a bottle thrown from a car yesterday.

Police say the woman was standing and talking to the driver of a car on Port Hills Rd, near Chapmans Rd, in Christchurch yesterday afternoon.

A glass drink bottle hit the woman after being thrown from a car heading towards the city on Port Hills Rd.

The woman was taken to Christchurch hospital with serious head injuries.
