Fears people could still be inside a burning building in Titirangi have been allayed.
Fire and Emergency northern communications shift manager Karen Larking said firefighters were called to a house on fire in Daffodil St, Titirangi about 1.50pm.
A neighbour said they thought someone might have been home at the time of the fire so firefighters searched the flaming house to see if anyone was in there.
Everyone had been accounted for and one person was being treated for smoke inhalation, Larking said.
The house was "well involved" in fire and five units were still battling the blaze with another truck on the way to provide assistance.
