Fashion night assists charity

Wairarapa women had a fun night at a fashion show and raised thousands for a Wairarapa charity at the same time.

The Martinborough Fashion Comes to Masterton show was held at Country Life Furniture in Masterton last Thursday night.

It was to raise money for the Women's Auxiliary of the Wairarapa Cancer Society.

The fashion houses which showcased their range were Soeur of Martinborough, Thrive of Martinborough, Peonies of Martinborough - with their ArtStyle Collection - and shoes from Saunders Shoes.

Dinny Pearce, of Soeur of Martinborough and the Cancer Society, said it was a successful evening with about 130 guests.

"The Martinborough fashion stores had fun presenting our spring collection to the Masterton ladies," Ms Pearce said.

About $4500 was raised for the charity on the evening.
