Carterton residents will have a chance to try their hand at something new - and see what happens when you put Ben Boyce and Ron Mark on MC duties together - at the Carterton Expo on Tuesday.
Being held at the Carterton Events Centre, the expo will bring together about 60 groups and organisations involved in education and learning.
Wairarapa REAP spokeswoman Judi Rendall said it was a chance for the community to discover some new learning opportunities and for organisations to see how they could collaborate.
"The focus is on education and learning - from some of my discussions in the community, it became apparent that there's all this happening, but people aren't necessarily aware."
The free expo includes hands-on activities and information stalls, food fundraisers and music and cultural performances from local schools.
Keynote speakers will be presenting throughout the day: Ministry of Education's Jilly Tyler will be speaking about the government's education priorities, Vicky Ellison from parenting programme SKIP will talk strategies and Green MP Catherine Delahunty will talk about lifelong learning.
Ms Rendall said the expo had been pulled together by a great working group, who were discussing the possibility of a future event.
"It brings the community together and often communities don't take enough time to celebrate what they're doing."
