Dead motorcyclist lost control of bike

Police believe a male motorcyclist killed in Christchurch today lost control of his bike.
Inspector Peter Hegarty said staff were called to the incident at the intersection of Governors Bay and Gebbies Pass roads in Teddington about 6pm.
"The [driver] appears to have lost control on the road, then have
gone off the road."
The man died at the scene.
The serious crash unit attended, Mr Hegarty said.
