Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour’s car has been involved in a mishap with a very large – and very green – tree.
Seymour posted a photo showing his branded car almost completely buried under a tangle of foliage, his own face on the side barely visible through the leaves.
He joked that the tree had it in for him and said he was thankful nobody was hurt.
“Media will probably report Act leader destroys nature,” Seymour jested on Facebook.
It is unclear what caused the incident and how damaged the vehicle was.

This comes after his car made headlines earlier this year.
Seymour’s vehicle was spotted speeding and undertaking another motorist on State Highway 1 in Auckland in September.
In a video posted to Reddit, an Act-branded car with Seymour’s face on it can be seen passing a fellow motorist from the left-hand lane.
The person filming shows their speedometer, which sits at just under 110km/h, and then pans to the car with Seymour’s face on accelerating ahead.
According to NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) road rules, drivers can only pass on the left when there are two or more lanes on your side of the centre line and you’re able to pass safely by using the left-hand lane, a police officer gives direction to or if the vehicle being passed has stopped, is signalling a right turn or is turning right.
“At all other times when you’re passing, you must pass on the right,” NZTA rules stated.
