Dalefield will host Harbour City-Tawa in a Wellington premier division men's hockey match at Clareville tomorrow. A former Manawatu under-18 rep in Willie Cobham is a notable gain for Dalefield and he will play either in the halves or at fullback. Wellington senior rep Daniel Juno in back on deck again while in Mark Fenwick and Alan Brady Dalefield are in the fortunate position of having two quality goalkeepers. The Ewingtons, Geoff and Andy, and the Masons, Chris and Greg, are other key members of the Dalefield squad as is Todd Sugrue. The Dalefield women's team open their Wellington premier division campaign for 2006 with a match against Hutt in Wellington tomorrow. New coach Kim Henson will have to make do without two of Dalefield's classiets players in recent seasons, Elizabeth Perry and Olivia Pearce, but holds high hopes of the side still making a bold bid for competition honours. He expects big things from two players returning to the active scene, Tania Scott and Sophie Wickens, and from remaining members of last year's line-up including Janeen Bruce, Ana Playle, Wendy Hull, Taasha Henson and Laura Crawford.
