Masterton's Luke Burkhart took two wins and a second in the 250cc class on his Suzuki, in Round Two of the New Zealand Supercross Championship at Timaru on Sunday.
The South Canterbury Motorcycle club were very happy with the crowd attendance at this the first Supercross run on the newly developed
track at the McKight Property Landsborough road, Timaru.
Defending champion Queenstown's Scott Columb (Suzuki) came out on top in the 125cc class with the departure of Josh Coppins. However it was not easy with Christchurch's Hayden McKay (Yamaha) hard on his heals.
Rotorua's John Phillips (Kawasaki) dominated the Junior 125cc class, while Mathew Sutherland continued to top the 250cc-class board.
The Supercross Championships now move North, with Round Three this weekend in Tokoroa.
