Residential Building Manager Contract; Mount Maunganui
This contract is for the management of a residential high-rise in Mount Maunganui, and you will have to commit around 28 hours a week, but requires attendance on site 7 days a week. There is no rental pool.
The role of building manager is to ensure the complex is kept spic and span, maintained to a high standard, and the rules adhered to, so that everyone is able to enjoy the great facilities the complex has to offer.
Duties include cleaning, liaising with residents and residents 'committee, and basic repairs and maintenance.
Good basic DIY skills would be an advantage, as would experience with outside contractors when necessary, so good communication skills, some basic computer skills and being a self-starter would be requirements for the position. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, honest and conscientious and a people-person, but able to be the bad cop when necessary. It would be a distinct advantage to live in the Mount as the manager would be on call for any emergencies.
