The condition of injured super-heavyweight boxing champion Peter Williams remained serious but stable this morning.
Williams collapsed on Sunday, soon after winning a national title. He has been in a coma in Timaru since then.
His mother, Susi, said yesterday that his condition was still very serious it had stabilised.
The New Zealand Boxing Association (NZBA) has begun an inquiry into reports that Williams -- who trained in Cuba earlier in his career -- may have taken part in undeclared fights.
