A woman who captured a young Wairarapa balloon enthusiast from the air wants the community's help to identify him.
Lisa Webber from Porirua spotted the child while on a Saturday morning hot-air balloon ride over Masterton.
The boy appeared to be trying to identify the balloons flying over his house
using the Midweek liftout feature on the Balloons over Wairarapa fiesta.
Ms Webber said she would love to send him a copy of the photo she took, which was taken between Henley Lake and the Hood Aerodrome. "I know that if it had been my own grandson down there in his garden, he'd be tickled pink that someone bothered to take his photo."
Mrs Webber said the area is to the southeast of Masterton and that there is a school at the edge of it.
