An armed robber struck a Post Shop in Auckland today - the sixth armed robbery in less than three weeks.
The man demanded money from staff at the Post Shop in Akarana Avenue, shortly before 10am, and fled on foot.
Inspector Dave Montgomery said the robber was still on the loose and had a gun, although police were unable to say if it was a rifle or hand gun.
It was not known how much money was taken.
Counsellors would be made available to those affected by the robbery.
The Post Shop branch will remain closed until tomorrow morning.
