Anti-war protesters made their presence felt at the Government's Waihopai Valley satellite station on Saturday.
Up to 60 protesters from all over the country gathered at the gates of the station near Blenheim for a peaceful protest against New Zealand involvement with United States' wars.
Before heading to Waihopai, the group, ledby the Anti-Bases Campaign (ABC) held a rally and march in central Blenheim. Speakers included Green MPs Rod Donald and Keith Locke.
The protesters, who included a group from Wellington who took their clothes off for a naked show of opposition, want the base closed.
It is operated by New Zealand's Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB).
