Another ACC privacy breach revealed

Court papers have revealed yet another major privacy breach problem at the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

A High Court decision handed down by Justice Young late last month reveals ACC had to take legal steps to prevent a man publicly releasing another person's case notes the corporation had sent him in error.

Justice Young's ruling prevents the man from releasing the documents while further legal remedies are sought.

ACC is not commenting on the case but Newstalk ZB understands the case is a new incident and is separate from other privacy breaches the corporation has already publicly acknowledged this year.
