We have our three SMEs for 2018!
Five amazing small and medium businesses pitched to the Supersize SME panel, and we are working with three fantastic businesses – Orbica, ilabb and Flexo!
Orbica, founded by CEO Kurt Janssen just a year and a half ago, is a Christchurch-based location data intelligence consultancy which uses maps, graphics, infographics, 3D worlds and interactive tools to give organisations real-time visibility. Orbica has just set up a satellite office in Berlin, Germany, and Kurt Janssen describes their rapid growth as "mind-boggling".
ilabb is an active lifestyle brand which was founded 11 years ago by keen motocross riders. It's now grown to have a staff of 25, 75 wholesalers across New Zealand and Australia, three retail stores and an online store which sells to countries around the world.
Father and son team Mark and James Stolten run Flexo, the world's only flexible toy brick system, developed to enhance the traditional brick-building experience – and designed by a Kiwi and manufactured in New Zealand. The mission is to allow people to build, play and construct in ways they've never been able to before – "a world of a flexillion possibilities."
