Richard Pryor made this lightweight comedy about working in the carwash in 1976. Disco era. Bad hair days.

Then, when they talked about the decade that taste forgot, they meant paisley shirts and garish striped trousers, gold chains and the occasional off-colour joke.

DJ Pooh has remade it in the hip-hop era. Now, when you're talking tasteless, you mean making cracks about the drug-dealing lifestyle, sexism, racism, 90-something minutes of unceasing obscenity and plain nastiness. Featuring Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, which probably means there's an audience for it. Somewhere.
