Take a look at this weeks fashion wrap. Gents about town (pictured above l-r) Ricardo Simich and Andy Pickering (aka the Herald on Sunday 'Spy boys') share the coolest looks found on the streets of Auckland, and the best and worst from the social set.
Street Style: This week we captured the late Saturday afternoon shopping crowd around The Viaduct, Queen St and Britomart. Students led the way in a relaxed take on subdued Kiwi weekend style.
Hot and Not
Best Dressed (left): Brooke Howard-Smith, Target TV presenter
Style File went to the filming of TV3's Comedy for Cure Kids Red Nose Day at the Q Theatre on Queen St. We were hoping to stumble across some spectacularly bad-dressed TV personalities. The theme for the night was sports, and most had dressed to fit the sportsperson theme. One of the driving forces behind the Cure Kids events is Brooke Howard-Smith, and we spotted him looking dapper just before he slipped away to put on his comedy sports ensemble. That means Brooke Howard-Smith gets the nod for best dressed wearing a Working Style Blazer with black tee, Huffer jeans and Emu shoes.
Worst Dressed: Sally Ridge, interior designer, reality TV star and socialite
On a night with a comedy dress code, you might well say it is unfair for us to pick on somebody for being worst dressed. While we agree with this sentiment, if you think this would stop us, you'd be wrong. When Sally Ridge popped out of a Taxi looking like Sporty Spice after a fight with a Breakers cheerleader, we knew we'd found our gal. Sally has a unique sense of style, she usually goes for androgynous with an elegant, sporty twist. For Cure Kids, Sally went the full nine yards wearing the playing singlet of daughter Jaime Ridge's beau, Breakers Star Josh Bloxham. She teamed this with adidas leggings, Nike trainers and a pink Stella McCartney sports top. Cheers Sally, you're a good sport!
