A US woman communicating with a customer service representative for her mobile phone company ended up accidentally hitting on the staff member, and the exchange went viral on the internet.

The woman was trying to access her mobile phone bill and was asked to supply her PIN.

Her pin, it turns out, is "CUTE".

The customer service representative thought the customer was calling her cute and responded with a polite "thanks".


The tweet showing the exchange quickly went viral with tens of thousands of likes.

In a new twist to the saga, however, it turns out the original tweet did not come from the Verizon customer but rather from a friend who tweeted it as his own.

Needless to say, the person who did this and missed out on viral fame is not pleased.
