* Titanic star Kate Winslet might want to bone up on her Casper comic books.
The actress, 25, has been warned she will be sharing a house she has just bought with a "friendly" ghost.
"I hope it won't put Kate off," John Mappin, joint owner of the nearby Camelot Castle Hotel,
told Britain's Daily Telegraph. "I know people who have seen the ghost, and he is definitely friendly."
The house is on England's southwest coast, close to the ruins of Tintagel Castle, said in legend to have been King Arthur's birthplace.
Winslet, who is married to director Jim Threapleton, 27, plans to renovate the house.
* Angelina Jolie, fresh from box-office success as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, is considering a new role - as a mother.
Jolie, currently promoting her latest film, Original Sin, co-starring Spanish heartthrob Antonio Banderas, told the entertainment television programme E News Daily she would put off the sequel to Tomb Raider for two years in case she and her husband, actor and director Billy Bob Thornton, conceive.
"I have this year-and-a-half, two years between them [the films] in case I do get pregnant," said the 26-year-old. She mused that she'd "never wanted to be pregnant. I've always wanted to adopt".
Jolie, married to Thornton, 56, for about a year, declined to elaborate on whether the couple would try to adopt an American baby or look elsewhere.
