Dances With Insects, as Kevin Costner plays Joe Darrow, an emergency doctor in a Chicago hospital. His pregnant wife and fellow doctor, Emily (Susanna Thompson), is working with children in Venezuela when their school bus crashes off the road into a river. Her
body is never found and Darrow immerses himself in his work.
Soon he senses his wife's presence with numerous encounters with dragonflies, the insect that resembled a birthmark on her shoulder. He becomes convinced of her desire to communicate when two seriously ill children say they spoke to her during near-death experiences. His obsession deepens to the concern of his friends and workmates.
This isn't the treatment Coster needs to get his floundering career up and running again.
