KEY POINTS:
After a year of blogging about the trials and tribulations of dating and navigating Auckland's social scene, our resident blonde Joanna Hunkin has decided to call it a day.
And rather than try a soap opera-style switcheroo, which would see another blogger attempt to fill the blonde's well-worn stilettos, we've decided to let the blog go with some dignity.
Not many could tackle the subjects Joanna has with such aplomb and we think it's best we leave her archive intact and written by just one person.
It's been an entertaining and at times trying year for the blonde.
She's touched on the perilous issue of texting while drunk, recounted a friend's disastrous first meeting with her new boyfriend's parents and spoken of the embarrassing situations which can arise when you live in a small town.
Along the way she's also introduced us to the concept of FOMO, breached the taboo topic of bridal porn and educated us about Milfs, Gilfs and Cougars.
As nzherald.co.nz's first blogger, Blonde at the Bar will be remembered both for her funny anecdotes and for her advice.
She will be missed but her archive will remain for fans to peruse at their leisure.
So check out the blonde's final blog and spend some time reminiscing about your favourite of her entries.
