Ladi6 is one busy lady. She's just returned from playing shows in Brazil, and she's soon to head back to Europe for a tour of the continent, plus multiple festival gigs including Glastonbury, before jumping across the Atlantic for her first ever tour of the United States.
But somehow she'sfinding time to fit in a 13-date tour of New Zealand this August, to co-incide with the single and video release of Hold Tight, the fourth single from last year's outstanding album Automatic, which debuted at No 3 in the New Zealand charts.
Building on her previous local summer tour, it will be a chance to see her expanded live line-up at their slickest, and hear all those intricate innovative beats and striking vocals in intimate live surroundings.
Plus it will be an opportunity to see rising Auckland rap crew Team Dynamite in the support slot, after the release of their jazz-fuelled, punchy second album Shepherd's Delight last year.
They start out at Stampede Bar in Papakura on Friday August 1, then hit Mt Maunganui, New Plymouth, Wellington, Riwaka, Wanaka, Queenstown, Dunedin, and Christchurch, before landing back in Auckland to play the Powerstation on Friday August 22, and then finishing up with dates in Whangarei, Gisborne, and Napier.
