"The story in the New York Post re a split between Mick Jagger and L'Wren Scott is 100 per cent untrue,'' the spokesman said.
"There is absolutely no basis in fact to this story. It is a horrible and inaccurate piece of gossip during this very tragic time for Mick."
Jagger's spokesman said earlier in the day the rocker was "shocked and devastated" by news of Scott's sudden death. There were no suspicious circumstances.
There is still no official word on reports the Stones have cancelled their first Australian concert, which had been scheduled in the West Australian capital on Wednesday.
Scott was a friend of Australian actress Nicole Kidman and her clothes often featured at red-carpet events.
Jagger's ex-wife, Bianca Jagger, was among those who spoke about the tragedy on Monday.
"Heartbroken to learn of the loss of the lovely and talented L'Wren Scott. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May she rest in peace," she tweeted.
