Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman on the cover of W magazine.
Scarlett Johansson has branded herself a "harlot" in a new interview.
The star, who is starring alongside Natalie Portman in upcoming period drama The Other Boleyn Girl, says the pair work well together because they complete opposites.
Natalie said: "I get branded a lot as a good girl.
I'm the prude, and Scarlett's more sexy."
Scarlett added to W magazine: "Yeah, I'm the harlot!"
But Scarlett was quick to play down her reputation.
"I've been battered for saying that I don't believe humans are monogamous by nature. The response was, like, 'What a ho-bag!' I didn't mean that I don't practice monogamy in my own life-of course I do! I'm not going to be in some tarty relationship. But I stick by what I said."
Natalie, 26, supports Scarlett's stance.
"I'm into monogamy. But I'm not really into marriage right now," she tells W.
"I sort of hate the legal aspect of it. What does the state have to do with it? Why are they making rules that say my lover can stay in the United States if they're foreign or share my health care benefits because I'm straight - but if you're gay, you can't have that?"
23-year-old Scarlett also revealed her hotly-anticipated threesome with Penelope Cruz and Cruz's real-life lover Javier Bardem in Woody Allen's new film Vicky Cristina Barcelona was anything but sexy to shoot.
She said: "There are 60 people right there, eating, like, salami sandwiches!"
Meanwhile, Scarlett has denied reports she is set to marry her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds, after she was seen shopping for wedding dresses at Los Angeles' Monique Lhuillier boutique with her mother and sister.
Her representative said: "A family member is getting married, not her. She is not engaged."
