Queen doubles NZ appearances

Promoters of the Queen and Adam Lambert show at Vector Arena in September are putting two shows on general sale after early demand for tickets.

Last week it was announced two of the band's original members - Brian May and Roger Taylor - would be bringing their world tour with American Idol star Lambert as singer to Auckland on Wednesday September 3.

Now a second show on Thursday September 4 has been added. It will go on sale at the same time of 9am tomorrow via ticketmaster.

Speaking to TimeOut last week, May said he was looking forward to coming back to New Zealand for the first time since the band played here in 1985 at the height of their career with original frontman Freddie Mercury.
