Talk show star Oprah Winfrey says she's excited to visit New Zealand for the first time when her multi-city tour, "An Evening with Oprah" comes to Auckland in December.
Announced today, the show will visit Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland.
The event is produced by Iconic Entertainment and Dainty Group, presented by Swisse and Sunsuper.
The show's promoters promised that the influential media personality would bring her "personal story and insights to life in a one-of-a-kind intimate evening".

In a statement, Winfrey said: "I can't wait to see everyone again in Australia. It is hard to believe it has been five years since I was there, and I look forward to being reconnected, rejuvenated and reinspired about what is possible for our lives.
I am also excited to visit New Zealand for the very first time!"Full details for the New Zealand show will be released on July 26.
Winfrey, who heads her own cable television network, took her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, to Australia as part of its final season in 2010, taking 300 audience members with her.
