An obsessed Ariana Grande fan was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold last week after showing up at her record label's New York headquarters dressed as Santa.
Republic Records executives had previously called in police over the actions of Tim Normandin after he bombarded the Problem songwriter with a slew of gifts, including candles, calendars, jewellery, and a bizarre 19 kilogram pumpkin.
The Massachusetts man was warned by cops to stop contacting and sending parcels to Grande or face harassment charges.
But he reportedly ignored the advice and turned up unannounced at Republic's Big Apple offices during Thanksgiving week.
The 29-year-old was committed to a local hospital's mental health ward, but was released after three days, according to TMZ.com.
