The full line-up for the reworked Northern Bass festival has been revealed, and includes English rapper Aitch, drum and bass DJs The Upbeats and grime pioneer Dizzee Rascal.
The event will once again take place in Kaiwaka, just outside of Mangawhai, north of Auckland, on December 30-31.
Said NB JNGL25 festival director Gareth Popham: “Northern Bass has always been about more than just the music – it’s the atmosphere, the people, the energy, and the production that make it what it is.
“Every year we work to create a lineup that brings people together to celebrate and connect, and this summer will be no different.”

The new format reduces the event’s capacity to about 6000 people, about half the crowd size of previous years. With the smaller capacity, organisers warn that tickets, on sale now, will sell out.
Alix Perez, Half Queen, Kings of the Rollers + Inja are also among the acts announced to play. Australian electronic rock band Pendulum will also appear, to perform a DJ set.
Organisers say while they’ve adapted this year’s event to current realities, they intend on bringing back the full three-day format in the future.
Rascal, real name Dylan Kwabena Mills, appeared at Rhythm and Vines in 2022, the same year he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Jones, in the United Kingdom.
