They're called the 'Insane' Clown Posse for a reason.

And in what will go down as one of the most brawl-filled Saturday nights in recent memory, the actions of ICP's Shaggy 2 Dope proved to be of a questionable thought process - even by the high standards set by the events that followed the Conor McGregor UFC fight.

The 43-year-old rapper was in attendance for Limp Bizkit's performance at the 2018 Rock Allegiance Festival in Camden, New Jersey, and attempted to attack lead singer Fred Durst, 48.

The ICP member managed to get himself on stage without any security intervention, and then proceeded to try and dropkick the camo bucket hat-wearing Durst from behind.

Bold, yes, but the likelihood of him landing the devastating attack was low from the start, and as surprising as the actions were, the results were as to be expected.

The rapper jumped, flailed helplessly in the air, and managed to brush the singer's black and white jersey before crashing to the ground.

Durst was completely unaffected by the actions.

He simply turned around, looked at Shaggy on the ground, turned back to the audience, and said to the crowd, "What a p****. Couldn't even pull it off."

Stage handlers then grabbed the rapper and removed him forcibly from the stage.

Things weren't completely over, however, as a very large second man got on the stage, but security was able to get him off without too much difficulty.

There is so no word on why Shaggy felt compelled to attack Durst.

The Insane Clown Posse and Limp Bizkit have collaborated in the past, so it seemed strange that there would be beef.
