Speaking on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the star said: "This is the first time that you have this many tribes gathered in one place, standing together united to stand up for not only their rights, but human rights. I think what would benefit Hillary Clinton's campaign is if she used opportunities like the pipeline being built."
And it seems her actions have not gone unnoticed, as it was recently revealed that the Department of Justice has halted the project and ordered the development company to suspend all construction work.
The Fault in Our Stars actress said: "That is beautiful, but that is not a win. A win is when they say 'We are not moving this pipeline to some other location, to affect clean water, but we are going to stop it and fix it.'"

Shailene will face a court hearing for her charges on October 24, and could face up to 60 days in jail plus a whopping $3,000 fine.
Speaking about her arrest at the time, she said: "I'm being arrested. Because I was trespassing, like everyone else. But as soon as you guys asked me to leave, I left.
"I'm being arrested! I was down there with everybody else! I don't know what's going on, as soon as they came I left. It's because I'm well known, it's because I have 40,000 people watching."
