Fans on Instagram weren't so sure about the hit-maker's dreads.
Users wrote in the comments next to the photo said, "What did you doooo?" and "I don't like the dreads", while one fan said it was time to "get the scissors" and another slammed Bieber's dreadlocks as culturally insensitive.
Despite not everyone digging Bieber's dreadlocks, the Instagram pics have received over 1.4 million likes since they were posted.

This isn't the first time the Biebs has experimented with his 'do'. Earlier this year he wore corn rows, before dying his hair a light shade of purple.
