Update: A rep for Seal has issued a statement saying the singer was "not implying" that his soon-to-be ex-wife Heidi Klum was cheating while they were still together.

"Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce were not final and they are still legally married," his rep told Us Weekly.

Previously: If recent photographs are anything to go by, Heidi Klum appears to be getting on well with her longtime bodyguard - much to the chagrin of her soon-to-be ex-husband, Seal.

The soul singer has hit out at the Project Runway host, 39,
after she was pictured last week on a beach in Sardinia with her guard of four years, a man named Martin Kristen, according to the Daily Mail.

A series of snaps published by the newspaper show the supermodel relaxing on the beach during the family holiday.

In one snap, Klum is seen with her arm around Kristen, sparking speculation there may be more to their relationship than meets the eye.

Klum was also spotted with the bodyguard in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

'I certainly don't expect Heidi to become a nun'

Seal has since spoken out about Klum possibly hooking up with her bodyguard.

Asked about Klum and Kristen's rumoured relationship, the Kiss From A Rose crooner told TMZ photographers, "Look boys, that's what happens when two people separate. They move on and that generally means [they have] other people in their lives," he said on Friday.

Klum speaks on Seal split - 'I never looked at another man'

10 Sep 12:26 AM

"I certainly don't expect Heidi to become a nun. My main priority is the emotional well-being of our children and to be quite honest if there is going to be someone in their lives, I'd rather it be a familiar face," he shared as he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport.

"I guess the only thing I would have preferred is that - I guess I didn't expect any better from [Martin], I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class, and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."

Adding, "But I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for for the past seven months."

Check out Seal making the bombshell claims below:

Klum and Seal, 49, announced their separation in January after seven years of marriage. Klum later filed for divorce in April, with Seal counter-filing shortly after.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," the couple said in a statement at the time.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart," the statement added. "This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition."

The former couple has four children together - Leni, 8, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2

'False accusations'

Klum has since fired back at her estranged hubby's accusations, telling E! News, "It is sad that Seal has to resort to false accusations."

The rep also told Us Weekly: "It is sad that Seal has to resort to this kind of behaviour and spread these untruths about the mother of his children."

The supermodel also reportedly told pals her relationship with the guard was "strictly professional" while she was with Seal.

"It's complicated," one of Klum's pals reportedly dished to People. "Their relationship is hard to define."

The pal also shared that Klum has been going through "a difficult time" since separating from Seal.

"Her inner circle of people she trusts is getting smaller and smaller," the friend said. "[Martin] is her No. 1 confidante."

Chimed another of Klum's pals to TMZ: "It's sad but not surprising that he [Seal] would resort to making excuses for their divorce when the real reason is looking him in the mirror."

Last week it was claimed that divorce proceedings between the exes had turned nasty.

RadarOnline reported that tensions have arisen over issues surrounding the pair's four children and their financial assets.

The webloid claimed that Klum wanted primary physical custody of their four children, but Seal wants to share.

The supermodel is also reportedly fuming over Seal's decision to allow photographs of their kids be featured in an advertising campaign for a digital camera.

"Heidi felt that the children had gone through enough since their parents split and she didn't want their private moments out there for the world to see. But Seal maintained he had every right to use his personal photos - and, moreover, that it was a done deal and out of his hands," a source claimed.

"Heidi isn't trying to cause trouble. She's just trying to protect her brood."

The insider also said that Klum has no interest in dating, adding: "She's not interested in beginning another relationship right now. Her primary goal is getting the kids through the divorce and making sure they are healthy and happy."

Whether Klum's in a relationship or not, don't expect her to be trotting down the aisle anytime soon.

"I don't know if I'll get married again," Klum told German publication Bild am Sonntag in July.

"Although I really enjoyed being married. I'm a dreamer. I loved our annual fairy-tale weddings that were our big family parties. But sadly, it somehow didn't work out."

She continued: "There are worse things in life than a separation. I think everyone should work on their dreams. I try to.

"I look into the future, concentrate on my family and I have to say that I'm happy."
