Neve Campbell has paid tribute to the late director Wes Craven.
The Scream actress believes her life and career wouldn't have been the same without the legendary filmmaker, who passed away at his home in Los Angeles last week following a battle with brain cancer.
The 41-year-old star - who appeared in all four of the horror movies - said: "Little did we know that our few months in the sleepy little town of Santa Rosa, California would give birth to one of the highest-grossing films of that decade and bring about a resurgence in a genre that had been deemed dead for years. Little could we comprehend the great success each of us would be gifted from having the opportunity to make Scream with the great Wes Craven."
The 76-year-old director helped reinvent the horror genre with his Freddy Kruger classic, Nightmare on Elm Street, in the 1980s, and again with teen slasher series in the 1990s.

Campbell also told The Hollywood Reporter: "Our lives would not be what they are without having worked with Wes. His films have been and will continue to be touted as some of the greatest of their genre, and his crews and cast will continue to remember him as one of the best.
"Rest in peace, Wes! We'll continue to watch your films and not sleep peacefully at all."
