Kiwi comedians Cal Wilson and Urzila Carlson have been tapped for an international Netflix comedy special which will feature 47 comics from 13 regions around the globe.
The as-yet untitled special will feature half-hour sets from each comedian, set to be primarily taped at the upcoming Just For Laughs festivalin Montreal, as well as in Brazil, Mexico, India, Germany and the Netherlands.
All episodes will be released at once in 2019, with sets available in seven languages - French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Dutch, German and English.
Carlson shared the news on Twitter, saying; "I'm heading to @justforlaughs in Montreal to film a little somethin somethin for #Netflix."
"Ok, yes, I'm a little bit excited about this, then," Wilson also shared on Twitter.

Wilson and Carlson join Australian comedians Joel Creasey and Nazeem Hussain in the line-up, which includes US stars Nicole Byer and Nick Swardson.
"Few things are better than discovering a new comedian you love," said Lisa Nishimura, VP of Original Documentary and Comedy at Netflix in a press release.
"With this event, we're creating a true comedy festival experience for our members where they can scour the globe from home to find some of the freshest voices in comedy."
The announcement furthers Netflix's expansion into New Zealand content, with journalist and filmmaker David Farrier's series Dark Tourist set to premiere on the site on July 20.
