Loading Docs: Stop Go

Learn more about Stop/Go, one of the 10 short documentary films in the inaugural Loading Docs project.

The Stop/Go sign represents a side of New Zealand that few get to ever truly appreciate. Until now. Be it in scorching sunlight or sideways snowfall, the workers behind these signs on our roads gain a unique insight into our home, Aotearoa.

Using the natural beauty of New Zealand as the backdrop, Stop/Go shares an untold Kiwi story of identity and earning an honest day's pay.

Greg Jennings: Director

A filmmaker equally at home behind the camera and in the edit suite, Greg started out as an editor but has since turned to directing and cinematography. Originally from the UK, he has spent the latter half of his life in NZ, and is proud to call Wellington home.

Working mainly on drama productions in film and television, Greg has a good grasp of narrative, and lives to create stories that are both engaging and moving.

Jack Nicol: Producer

Jack has five years experience working in film and television in New Zealand. He grew up in Auckland, but began his film career while studying in Otago.

He has experience working on all manner of productions from large Hollywood movies, right down to self-funded music videos. He has a passion for intelligent and quirky documentaries, as well as an addiction to big, dumb action movies from the 1980s.
