An exhausted Lady Gaga recovered from her explosive Auckland concerts by fishing in her high heels on Waiheke Island.
Jason Schwarz, general manager of Waiheke's Goldwater Estate Vineyard, said the "eccentric" pop star relaxed with him, his children and staff for two days after her performances at Vector Arena last
weekend.
Schwarz said she appeared "knackered" when she arrived by helicopter on the island - thanks to an all-night clubbing session til 4am.
Rumours have been circulating on the internet that the star collapsed after her final performance of Bad Romance, where she was uncharacteristically sluggish on stage - sitting while she sang and lying down after stripping off her headgear.
"I think she was okay though, she was just pretty tired," said Schwarz.
The superstar visited with a group of dancers and a bodyguard, who all loved the barbecued sausages, tarakihi and oysters his staff prepared for them.
And she spent at least one day beach fishing.
"She's pretty eccentric, she didn't take her heels off once.
"She went down to Onetangi beach to go fishing in her eight-inch heels, undies and a man's business shirt - that's it. She still had her bright yellow hair."
