Kim Kardashian has posted a video for her cover version of the classic Christmas song Santa Baby, and it has raised many an eyebrow.
The video sees the bewigged star crawling through a house during a holiday party past a surreal tableau of guests. Viewers whowatch until the end are rewarded with a surprising celebrity cameo: Macaulay Culkin, an actor synonymous with Christmas thanks to his star-making role in the Home Alone film series.
The song was produced by Kardashian’s brother-in-law Travis Barker, while the video was directed by British filmmaker and photographer Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, a UK director and writer.
Surreal and low-fi in style with a glitchy home-video quality, the clip sees Kardashian crawling on the floor through a house in the midst of a holiday party – past trash cans and sleeping guests, lingerie-clad women playing twister, young men wrestling and passing an American football.
There are Christmas trappings like illuminated plastic nativity scenes, Jesus, toy train sets, wrapping paper and Culkin dressed as Santa Claus, alongside less traditionally festive moments like a bodybuilder and a woman in a fish tank.

Kardashian and Cohen have collaborated before, with the photographer shooting the star for the cover of Interview and CR Fashion Book, and lensing the campaign for the Skims collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana.
The Santa Baby video has drawn mixed reactions.
Variety called it “creepy” while The Cut declared it the “holiday gift we didn’t see coming”.
Kardashian’s fans expressed surprise and disappointment on Instagram. “Girl what the f*** is this,” one commented. Another confessed to being “so confused”.
Some seemed more upset and offended – labelling the video “blasphemous”, “disturbing” and “demonic vibes”.
“She claims she’s a Christian,” one follower accused.
Others were unhappy with the timing and the festive themes of the footage, expressing displeasure at the release.
