Madonna will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by SexyBack singer Justin Timberlake, it has been reported.
The pop queen will be inducted in a March 10 ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, according to MTV.
Joining Madonna as this year's honourees are Leonard Cohen, The Ventures, John Mellencamp, Little Walter and The Dave Clark Five.
Madonna and Timberlake collaborated on her upcoming album, Hard Candy, due in April. The duo, along with hip hop star Timbaland, recently filmed a video for the album's first single called 4 Minutes To Save The World, which will be released in late March.
Hard Candy will be Madonna's last studio effort for Warner Bros., and includes a catchy track called Candy Store which was leaked on the internet at the end of last year.
Madonna's longtime rep Liz Rosenberg says: "She loves candy. It's [the album title] about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed 'I'm gonna kick your ass, but it's going to make you feel good.'"
Forever the chameleon, Madonna's latest music output is said to have a heavy hip-hop underlining, yet somehwat reminiscent of her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor.
