'I don't like it': Why Kirsten Dunst hates shooting sex scenes

She's one of Hollywood's most bankable stars but Kirsten Dunst is completely over one part of her job ... sex scenes.

Dunst, 34, said she felt uncomfortable shooting the intimate scenes in her latest movie, The Beguiled, with co-star Colin Farrell.

"I am on the floor and my clothes are being ripped," Dunst told E! News, according to the New York Post.

"I don't like it, I don't like it," she said. "To be honest, I'm like, 'Let's get this over with as fast as possible.'"

Dunst praised director Sofia Coppola - her frequent collaborator from The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette - for being sensitive during the revealing shoot.

"At least Sofia's like, 'We're going to get this done quick, I'm just gonna shoot it here, we'll do three takes, be done,' whereas male directors want to 'shoot it from every angle,'" Dunst said, New York Post reports.

Irish actor Farrell said sex scenes were "harder" for female actors and he was sensitive to it.

"It's harder for women. And women have in the history of cinema ... been more exploited of course, through the means of sexuality, by men than men have," Farrell said.

"So, it's situations like that, any love scenes that I've been a party to over the years, you just [do] whatever your female dance partner needs."
