Now we've been given a line-up of artists who will feature on the album, titled For the Throne: Music Inspired by Game of Thrones, including the Weeknd, Maren Morris, Lil Peep, Mumford & Sons, Ellie Goulding, the National, Chloe X Halle, Jacob Banks, James Arthur, Hoey Bada$$, Lennon Stella, the Lumineers, Matthew Bellamy, Ty Dolla $ign and X Ambasadors.
That's a pretty insane list.
The album, which will be released online on April 26, is the first time HBO has joined forces with a major label to curate a soundtrack for the fantasy epic. It is not known if the songs will feature on the show or are just inspired by the series.
Fans have hit social media in droves declaring the "crazy" soundtrack, which will almost certainly become a best seller, will become "album of the year".
"im more excited for (the) album than game of thrones and avengers put together," one user wrote.
It comes after HBO released its second full-length GoT trailer dubbed "Aftermath".
None of the characters are featured in it. Just Winterfell completely destroyed, with possessions belonging to all of our favourite heroes scattered among the abandoned snowy battlefield.
They also released that poster that shows the characters' lifeless bodies forming the shape of the Iron Throne. They captioned it: "The great war was here."
In the one-minute trailer, Jon Snow's sword "Longclaw" and Arya Stark's beloved sword "Needle" are among the ruins.
We can also see Jaime Lannister's gold hand, Bran Stark's wheelchair and Tyrion Lannister's Hand of the King pin.
