Cate Blanchett has confirmed she is pregnant with her third child.
Blanchett, 38, had sparked rumours she was expecting while attending the premieres of her new movie, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, in form fitting couture gowns in several world cities.
At the Sydney premiere on Saturday night, Blanchett, who was wearing a kaftan-style dress in bright orange and pink, said: "Yes, yes, we're expecting a baby in April, which is very exciting."
Blanchett and her husband, playwright Andrew Upton, have two sons - Dashiell, 5, and Roman, 3.
